Archaic Age

VILLAGERS— Villagers, also called Vills and Villies, are the most important thing you can get in the first age. Set at least the first 6 or 7 on food, including your first three, so you can keep building villagers. This is not a build order, so I won't continue from there. But you should always be building villagers unless you are saving for age advancement. Hopefully you will be able to advance with at least 15-20 villagers in less than 9 or 10 minutes.

That's all there is to the first age, villies and knowing how to use them. You may want to check out some build orders or make up one good for you. Build orders are guidlines you follow to the start of the game and beyond.

Classical Age

VILLAGERS—Yeah, again, villies are so important Make sure you have plenty on food and a good amount on gold. If you are playing a map that you need good control of water with, put some food villies on wood so you have the wood. By the time you advance to Heroic you should have at least 25 villagers (closer to 30 and beyond), and hopefully you will be advancing around the 15-20 minute mark.

RUSH— A rush can make you or break you. A well timed, well organized rush is easily the downfall of your opponet. But it HAS to be organized. An ill-organized rush will collaspe, the enemy will utterly defeat you, and you are in MAJOR trouble. A rush should use at least a few myth units, especially if you can get Cyclops (buildings and a human to fling every now and then) Minataors (human units), or Anubites (human units) These are especially good for early rushing. Do not attack until you have enough men, or you won't do much. and above all DO NOT go near the TC until you have destroyed pretty much everything else. The TC will just kill your units pretty fast, and since you are attacking, keeping every unit is important. Remember, keep building villies, don't concentrate to much on the rush or your economy will suffer, and don't concentrate to much on the economy or the rush will fail.
